I got scammed...

This is very brief because I wrote it for twitter but it was way too long.

I was scammed, but got my money back. I was trying to sell a guitar on Craigslist. A "buyer" said he would send me a money order and pick it up when he was in town. He said his agent made a mistake and sent me money for the wrong item, and that he sent me to mucha nd asked me if he could trust me to wire him the extra money back. I got the check for $1800. I waited for the bank to clear it and they did. I did what I thought the honest thing was and took my $270 and wired him the money via Western Union like he asked. However, I was so busy yesterday, I never sent the guy the transfer number or any information on where to pick it up. The bank calls the next day to say the check was fraud and that I owe them 1800 dollars. Yeah... so long story short...I run all over the place and make tons of calls. I was able to get a hold of WU and since I never gave the guy the transfer number, he was unable to pick it up. I canceled the transaction, and after a long time of communication and transfering, the money was wired back to me, and I was given every cent I had given to UW, including the $100 in transfer fees.
